Mr. Heerde is an experienced litigator who represents clients in litigation in New York and California. Prior to forming his own firm, Mr. Heerde represented government agencies in environmental and regulatory litigation in southern California. Mr. Heerde transitioned his practice to business and employment litigation to focus on his role as closely trusted counselor and advocate to business owners and entrepreneurs. Mr. Heerde’s clients include public companies, close corporations, law firms, and startups. Mr. Heerde is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and Dartmouth College, and is a native of New Rochelle, New York.
Mr. Heerde was named to New York Metro Super Lawyers in 2020.

Brian h. brick, of counsel
Of-counsel to the firm since 2020, Mr. Brick is a trusted counselor and advocate for clients in a wide range of businesses and industries. His clients include for-profit and not-for-profit companies, private and institutional investors, limited liability companies, partnerships, and individuals involved in commercial and business affairs. Prior to forming his own practice, Mr. Brick was part of the commercial litigation practices of two large international law firms in New York for over ten years. He then practiced law at a smaller business litigation boutique and was the Practice Chair of the commercial and business litigation group at a well-known plaintiff-focused firm for almost five years (also serving as the firm’s General Counsel). In 2017, Mr. Brick was named as a New York Metro Super Lawyer for Business Litigation. Mr. Brick graduated cum laude from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law.

RACHEL R. TOBIAS, of counsel
Ms. Tobias has over 12 years of experience providing comprehensive legal services for her clients. She practiced several years as a public defender in Seattle, and then operated her own matrimonial and criminal practice in Seattle. Now in New York, she provides business consulting for a numerous business clients, particularly in the fashion industry. Ms. Tobias has worked with our office since 2015, providing transactional and litigation services for the firm's clients.
